X-Rite, the supplier of colour measurement packages, and digital ink-jet proofing software maker Giml have signed a deal to include X-Rite ColorPort with the latter's AbsoluteProof software. The Concept of Colour Master course, Europe's first colour-management course, has been launched. The training covers basic, intermediate and advanced levels and is backed by, and based at, University of Leeds and Leeds College of Technology. Students learn to calibrate press profiles, said Dave Williams, commercial manager at the Centre for Industrial Collaboration in Digital Print.
