Marian has been working in print for 20 years, and is married with one teenage daughter. She is coming up to 53 and no doubt speaks for many when she says ‘how did that happen!’

Why did you get into printing? 

To get a company car!

What would be your dream job? 

A full time actress

Who would play you in a movie about your life? 

Gillian Anderson

What is your dream bit of kit? 

HP Indigo 12000 B2 digital press

What would you most like to print? 

I would love us to produce a box for our future king for his coronation filled with all the Queen’s secrets!

What is your favourite film? 

Pretty Woman

What is your favourite TV programme? 

Gogglebox

Who or what do you hate the most? 

Marmite

Who do you admire most in the industry? 

Wow, there are so many inspirational people in the industry that I admire and look up to. I admire the leaders that are taking print forward while taking into consideration how we can protect the environment

Why is it taking so long?

What book are you reading at the moment? 

Untamed by Glennon Doyle

Cat or dog, or…? 

Dog. We have the most placid, lovable Cavachon called Molly Mai who we got just before lockdown and we all adore her

What is your greatest luxury? 

Spending time with friends and family

What is the strangest job you’ve ever done? 

Lifeguard – I am not a very good swimmer!

Who would you like to be stuck on a desert island with? 

My husband and daughter

Who or what makes you laugh? 

People falling over

What piece of kit would you like to see invented? 

Something that could automate complex box fitment assembly. It can be one of the most time-consuming parts of the process

Where would you like to be now? 

West of Ireland working on our cottage we bought in lockdown that we are hoping to renovate – if we can ever get back there!

David Attenborough, Micky Flanagan and Princess Diana 

What was your childhood obsession? 

The Bay City Rollers

What was the best business deal that you’ve pulled off? 

Every deal is exciting and a new challenge

Be more confident

Bubbly, full of life and always good humoured
