The Brentwood, Essex-based business said this followed the installation last month of two additional Galaxy Packtech pouchmaking machines, bringing BakPac’s pouch conversion fleet to five, alongside its two HP Indigo 200K presses.
The company now expects the weekly million to become the new normal following its continued kit investment.
“This is what BakPac was built for. High-volume, fast-turnaround pouch production – across multiple SKUs, materials, sizes, and sectors – all while delivering the consistency and quality our customers rely on,” said Harry Baker, who runs BakPac sales and operations.
The business said this level of output is also currently being achieved on a single long shift, leaving “significant headroom” for further expansion.
“What makes this milestone even more exciting is that we’re just getting started. We’ve got the people, the machines, and the ambition to scale. It’s buzzing here at BakPac,” Baker added.
The business completed a major factory extension in early 2024. Its current turnover figure is around £16m and it employs 119 staff.
