Centre stage: Live demos will be running on the Kudu throughout the show

Renowned for its cutting-edge printing technology, swissQprint is set to make a significant impact at The Print Show 2024.

Marking the first-ever appearance of the Kudu flatbed printer at a UK trade show, The Print Show will also be the first time swissQprint exhibits at this important UK event.

Hosted at the NEC Birmingham between 17 and 19 September 2024, visitors to stand C10 will be treated to an array of versatile and high-quality printing solutions.

From captivating backlit day and night images and magnetic applications to printed and embellished packaging with varnish, swissQprint will demonstrate the intricate detail and quality achievable with its technology.

Spotlight on award-winning Kudu

At the heart of swissQprint’s booth will be the award-winning Kudu. Visitors will see the machine in action throughout each day. Using all 10 colour channels it will demonstrate the vibrant neon colours and striking varnish effects. Additionally, the roll-to-roll printing option will demonstrate the efficiency and versatility of the unit.

The Kudu has been a hit since its launch, being crowned 'Best flatbed/hybrid printer' in the 250sqm/hr-plus category at the EDP Association Awards last year. Boasting a 3.2x2m flatbed and productivity of 304sqm/hr, as well as 1,350dpi resolution for maximum quality, the machine is already proving popular in the UK with seven installed.

Certified energy efficiency

Like all printers from swissQprint, the Kudu is certified as first-class in energy efficiency, using just 2.2kWh of electricity, equivalent to the consumption of an average kettle. Paired with swissQprint's reputation for reliability, this ensures that Kudu users enjoy low operating costs.

36-month warranty on all machines

Visitors will also be able to hear about swissQprint's unique 36-month warranty. It is applicable to all machines across the range, providing complete peace of mind for users.

“We make this promise with confidence, because we only ever use high-quality components and our printers are robustly built and very reliable,” emphasises Carmen Eicher, chief sales and marketing officer at swissQprint. “Customers have always appreciated our machines’ high uptime.”

Focus on applications

swissQprint's stand will also have a wide variety of examples tailored specifically to the sign and display market, including aluminium composite material (ACM), acrylics, POS, and fabric printing. In addition, a special area will be dedicated to demonstrating how the Kudu can revolutionise retail applications, with backlit printing and packaging solutions using neon colours taking the spotlight.

The immersive setup will demonstrate the wide array of applications businesses can achieve with a swissQprint machine. The modular design of swissQprint printers, supporting up to 10 colour channels that can be customised and configured, underscores the business's commitment to providing versatile, adaptable solutions for its customers’ diverse needs.

Versatility and innovation

“We are thrilled to introduce the Kudu to visitors and demonstrate the versatility and innovation that swissQprint brings to the industry. Our goal is to inspire and equip businesses with the tools they need to achieve extraordinary results,” said swissQprint UK managing director, Erskine Stewart, on the manufacturer’s The Print Show 2024 debut.

“The swissQprint team very much looks forward to showing a world of applications that enable printers to create the sustainable and innovative sign and display solutions that our customers demand.”
