Revoria XMF PressReady Lite is targeted at smaller businesses that do not necessarily need all the bells and whistles of XMF PressReady, which can run multiple Fiery-driven POD presses and integrate with a wide-range of MIS and W2P platforms.
“We see PressReady Lite as a ‘productivity pack’ for our Fujifilm Revoria Flow DFE,” said John Davies, workflow product group manager, Fujifilm EMEA.
PressReady Lite can check and fix PDF files and create automated workflows to intelligently group jobs for printing.
“For instance, jobs that include the use of pink toner, or jobs that all print on the same media, with the same set of toners, can be automatically grouped together for printing to minimise unnecessary changing of toners, or loading and unloading of media,” explained Davies.
The software upgrade can be installed on any Revoria Flow server and is compatible with Revoria SC285, EC2100 and PC1120 presses and, according to Davies, “allows even the smallest print businesses to benefit from enhanced productivity and reduced human error”.
Revoria XMF PressReady Lite was unveiled at Fujifilm’s POD partner conference, which takes place this week (19-21 May).
At the Madrid event, it also ran a number of technology demonstrations. These included demos of the previously announced white and silver toners that when launched will be able to run on the Revoria SC285S and Revoria EC2100S five-colour presses, which became commercially available at the start of the year initially with additional pink, clear and textured stock toners.
“White toner opens up a huge range of exciting possibilities for printing to transparent media, or to darker paper and board,” said Mark Lawn, head of POD Solutions, Fujifilm EMEA.
“While silver toner, aside from producing eye-catching visual effects, can also be mixed with other colours to produce a stunning range of new colours.”
The manufacturer also used the event to show a new controller for its entry-level, ApeosPro C series of light production printers.
Fujifilm said the GP (Graphic Print) Controller D02 would offer enhanced image quality, though AI assisted optimisation, and productivity performance improvements with a faster RIP.
