The GAE-supplied, 36-station, deep bin Horizon line was fitted with an ST-40 high pile turner and has taken much of the manual work out of the bindery.
ProCo production director Richard Green said that with hand collating for a lot of the work, as many as 40 people could be working on a shift.
He added: "We wanted to reduce the amount of time work was spending in this area.
"Work that would have taken 10 people 30 hours to complete, now takes two people 15 hours [with the new system]. The effect on our efficiency has been immediate."
Removing the bindery bottleneck has saved up to 50% for job times, according to the Sheffield-based firm.
The company, which was a finalist in last year's Printing World Awards for customer service and boasts FSC and PEFC accreditation, offers full colour direct marketing materials and includes the Labour Party, Ikea and DFS among its client roster.
