Nick Hood of Begbies Traynor, who was appointed as administrator on 12 November (PrintWeek, 13 November), has cut eight jobs from the companys salesforce but said a sale of the business was still likely.
We remain in active negotiations with one particular party, said Hood, who hoped an offer for the business could be made by as early as the end of this week.
The administrators made 29 redundancies across the board last week at the firm, which employed 72 staff before it fell into administration.
The company went into administration after it failed to recover from a 2.4m deficit in its final salary pension scheme.
It had been paying 410,000 a year to keep the pension fund afloat, but closed it to new entrants three years ago.
The firm has also cancelled the order for a new 10-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster that it announced last month (PrintWeek, 23 October).
Perivan White Dove has sales of around 9m and is the sole trading division of Perivan Group.
Perivan's London business was spun off into a separate company earlier this year and is unaffected by the administration.
