Midlands Publishing Group has issued an ultimatum to Century Litho (Truro) over its proposed acquisition: Unless our deal is completed contractually by 31 July we will pursue other options that have now presented themselves.
Midlands Publishing chief executive Nicholas Humes said the group had made what it considered to be a fair offer for Century.
In May PrintWeek revealed that Midlands Publishing was on the verge of buying a web offset printer with sales of 8.75m, which was identified as Century Litho (Truro) (PrintWeek, 18 May).
We consider it to be a company we can move forward with in the future, but we are becoming increasingly frustrated by the number of obstacles that have been presented, added Humes.
