Manroland Sheetfed cuts headcount at Offenbach

Manroland Sheetfed is to cut more than 10% of its workforce in Germany, according to local reports.

At least 110 jobs will go in Offenbach, from the 1,000 employees remaining at the plant following the radical downsizing of the operation after Manroland was broken up and the sheetfed operation sold to Langley Holdings in February.

Six weeks ago Langley chairman and owner Tony Langley said the business was "standing on its own feet" financially, and trading within expectations.

At the time of writing there was no news on a permanent replacement for UK managing director Adam Robotham, who left in July. Service director Martin Hawley has become acting managing director.
