Headley Brothers appoints new head of sales

Headley Brothers has appointed Jon Parvin, former managing director of Friary Press, in the role of head of sales as part of a move to expand the magazine printer's sales operation.

Parvin, who has 27 years experience in the print industry, said: "2008 looks to be an exciting year for Headley Brothers, and I look forward to the challenges and successes ahead."

The appointment is the second high-profile scalp for Headley's having appointed VNU production director Joanne Hurst in August last year.

Parvin added that having been in the industry for a long time, he understood customer needs: "They want great customer service and they want innovative ideas that help their business."

The 300-strong firm, based in Kent, operates digital, sheetfed and web presses and produces 350 magazines in addition to a range of journals and annual reports.
