In a 45,000 deal, the Service Graphics division has installed the 3.3m-wide machine at its factory in Skelmersdale. It is designed to laminate billboard posters, truck sides and other flexible outdoor media and protects against UV light, chemicals, water and abrasion.
Scanachrome divisional managing director Stephen Arthur said the investment would put an end to lacquering sheets by hand.
