EFI has added to its senior team with the appointment of a former Fujifilm executive.

Todd Zimmerman has joined the manufacturer as vice president and general manager of EFI’s Display Graphics business.

Zimmerman has a long track record in the industry. He joins from Fujifilm USA, where he had worked for 15 years in a variety of increasingly senior roles, culminating in becoming division president and corporate VP of its Global Graphic Systems business.

Prior to that he worked at Kodak Polychrome Graphics for six years, and was direct for field sales and national accounts at that business.

He also spent time in Europe as director of its Nordic region.

Zimmerman took up his new role, which has a worldwide remit, this month. He reports to Scott Schinlever, chief operating officer for EFI Inkjet.

He praised Zimmerman for the “wealth of valuable knowledge” he would bring to his new role.

“His experience and management style are significant assets to accelerate an EFI Display Graphics portfolio that offers best-in-class technologies today and will deliver breakthrough technologies in the near future,” Schinlever said.

Zimmerman said he was excited about the potential for EFI’s portfolio of products targeted at display graphics.

Earlier this year EFI launched a raft of new products, including the Nozomi for display graphics, and two new superwide UV LED roll-to-roll printers, the Vutek Q3r and Q5r.

EFI said it was also a pivotal time for the display sector, with many customers adapting their offerings to meet post-pandemic customer requirements.

“This is a unique opportunity, and I am happy to be joining a highly talented team that has demonstrated the ability to not only listen to, but also respond quickly to changing market trends and customer feedback,” Zimmerman said, and described the EFI range of products as “unmatched”.

He is based at EFI's Display Graphics Customer Experience Center for the Americas in New Hampshire, USA.
