Condé Nast has appointed Sarah Davidson as production manager to replace Jasper Scott, who joins IPC Media on 19 March.

Davidson joined the firm 10 years ago as a production controller for Vanity Fair.

She spent 10 months away from the group in 1997 but returned in early 1998 as production manager when Scott was promoted to production director.

"I'm very pleased," said Scott. "She's worked very hard and has a great reputation."

Three weeks ago, Scott predicted that Davidson would be a "pretty strong contender" for his role (PrintWeek, 5 January).
Davidson's appointment means the UK's major magazine production roles are filled after a year of musical chairs in the sector.
