C3 Imaging Manchester has made the move into extra-large-format print with the installation of a Vutek UltraVu 5300.
The digital print specialist can now offer digital print from business cards to building wraps.
Shortly after installation the 5m-wide machine was called on to produce a 38x9m building wrap to promote the film Artificial Intelligence (AI). C3 produced the banner in sections and then stitched it together on-site, taking four days to complete it.
"The press hadnt been in a week before it was seriously put to the test," said managing director Mike Riley. "This job was the biggest trial of our large-format capabilities, and provides a benchmark for all work to follow."
The firm will also offer the service to other members of the C3 Imaging chain.
