The show, and the co-located European Sign Expo and Personalisation Experience, welcomed around 600 global exhibitors.
Michael Ryan, head of Fespa Global Print Expo, said: “We’re thrilled to be back in Berlin this year, with our new strapline, ‘Where Visionaries Meet’.
“We’re bringing together visionaries in the print sector – our visitors, exhibitors, award-winners, association heads and more – to see the latest innovations and technologies, and learn about current and future trends.
“In an ever-evolving industry like ours, it is vital that we are consistently looking forward. How can we minimise the impact of print? How is AI influencing the sector? What opportunities does personalisation present? These are just some of the topics highlighted and explored in our Smart Hub Conference sessions this year.
“On Wednesday (7 May), we also recognised excellence in print at the Fespa Awards 2025! We had 278 entries this year from more than 30 countries, and the standard was incredibly high. Well done to our winners!”
Other trends at the event included automation and workflow advances, and the ways these areas can help business efficiency, the rise in direct-to-film (DTF) technology, and textile printing.
Exhibitors were positive about the event, with many reporting having enjoyed their busiest Fespa show in years.
Oscar Vidal, global director, product and strategy for HP Large Format Business, added: “We’re very, very happy. It continues to be a very good show for us; it’s not just people asking questions, people are sitting down and engaging on projects and discussions.”
Mathew Faulkner, EMEA marketing and innovation director at Canon, added: “Fespa does a fantastic job of developing the concept and never standing still.
“I love the fact that over the years they have developed the Printeriors exhibition to focus on the emerging decor market, the personalisation experience – these things are always hard to keep going, but I’m really impressed with Fespa with how they are constantly evolving based on the needs of the market.”
Fespa has confirmed that the 2026 Global Print Expo and co-located European Sign Expo and Personalisation Experience events will take place at the Fira de Barcelona, Spain, from 19-22 May.
Next year’s show will also welcome back Sportswear Pro for its second edition. Other features already confirmed include World Wrap Masters and Club Fespa.
A full analysis of this year’s show and its key news and trends will feature in our Printweek briefing in the June/July issue of the magazine, out next month.
