First is the Latex R530, a new Latex hybrid printer that can handle flexible and rigid substrates – allowing users to target high-value jobs at a lower cost.
Oscar Vidal, global director, product and strategy for HP Large Format Business, told Printweek: “We are very excited about this product. We believe that with this concept of very compact, extremely easy to use, and the fact that it is rigid and flexible at the same time opens up a lot of possibilities.”
Also appearing in Europe for the first time is the Latex 730 and Latex 830 series of printers, the latest generation of HP’s water-based Latex large-format printers.
The series’ Latex 730 W and Latex 830 W models, which each add two white printheads to the core eight of the 730 and 830 models, are being shown at Fespa.
Finally, the company is highlighting its recently launched PrintOS Production Hub software on its Fespa booth, 4.2-A20.
“It’s great to have unique hardware technology, but at the same time, we need to go also with software solutions to help customers to truly transform their business and take the maximum out of this technology.
“One of the things we've observed over the last few years, especially in small and medium sized companies, is that there is still a huge amount of companies that manage their business with pen and paper.
Many of these customers have told us that they can use either generic software for project management, which is way to generic or they need to invest heavily in an MIS specialised software, which [can be] super expensive and takes months to be implemented.
“So there is a gap here between something generic and something super tailored and that's exactly what PrintOS Production Hub is addressing – for these smaller customers that don't have the reach to go up to a super complex system, but they have the need to move from pen and paper to a digital process. With Production Hub they can put all the orders in the system and can track all the orders in a digital way.”
All of the new products are commercially available now.
