B&P Trident aimed at high-volume users

B&P Graphic Systems has unveiled its Uniform Trident XL3400 (pictured), described as a production workhorse in the super wide-format market.

The four-colour, 3.4m-wide ink-jet printer produces 158sqm per hour in two pass mode. To reach that speed it uses 72 Xaar print heads.

The first machines, which cost 120,000, have been shipped out by B&P.

"It is a printer aimed at high-volume users who may need additional production capacity," said B&P sales director Andrew Wilson.

Meanwhile, B&P Lightbrigade, the printing division of the group, has installed a Vutek 5330-2, bringing the total number of Vutek printers to five.
