Fuji to raise ink prices by 6%

Fujifilm Sericol has become the latest supplier to announce price increases, with rises of up to 6% for its screen inks and screen-making products.

From 2 April, the company’s UV screen inks and screen-making supplies will rise by 3% and all other inks, solvents, emulsions and screen-making chemicals, will rise by 6%. Digital inks are exempted from this round of price increases.

The firm has blamed rises in its own cost base for the move. In particular, it cited the rising cost of utilities, packaging and transport.

Fujifilm Sericol UK commercial director Nigel McNae said: “Despite a proactive programme to absorb this, we continue to experience tight supply and significant price increases on many key raw materials.”
