Datum started back in 1988 in Shoreditch, London, as a pre-press company supplying plates and proofs to the local litho printers. It left behind its London roots in 2000 when the business relocated to Hertfordshire.

Datum is based in Hatfield

How many staff do you have? 


What does your firm do? 

Full creative services, short-run print marketing, digital marketing, large-format print along with full campaign management for our clients

What’s your typical customer? 

Marketing managers at SMEs or marketing departments at larger organisations that like to deal with a single firm for multi-channel campaigns

Which geographic areas do you serve? 

National, but increasingly international

Which markets do you serve? 

Retail, banking, agency and SMEs

What’s your USP? 

A true production agency with creative, print and digital projects managed entirely in-house

What’s your company’s motto/mission statement? 

We have five principles: we’re quick, we’re here to help, we’re adaptable, we like the complex stuff and we’re obsessed with getting it right!

What equipment do you run? 

HP Indigos and in-house finishing, Roland wide-format printers and a full in-house studio

What’s been your proudest achievement in the past few years? 

Growing turnover consistently each year and establishing ourselves as a genuine cross-media company

What’s your team’s favourite biscuit? 

Custard creams!
