Fujifilm has launched a new digital print production workflow system for its Revoria press range.

The manufacturer said XMF PressReady helps manage print jobs from multiple sources, such as web-to-print and MIS systems or PDF files supplied by customers, and directs them to an appropriate digital press. It also enables the automation of ordinary and repetitive tasks.

Revoria Flow DFE, a front-end system to manage ripping, colour management, special colour control and more, controls the Revoria Press PC1120.

When this is combined with XMF PressReady, Fujifilm said it can completely automate the flow of print work from order intake to printed product by preconfiguring and automating the flow of work through the Revoria Flow DFE.

XMF PressReady offers multiple workflows that can be configured to make production decisions based on size, quantity, media, and page count. It also eliminates the need for manual intervention, saving time and reducing the possibility of operator error.

XMF PressReady is integrated with Fujifilm’s XMF workflow system, allowing users to manage both offset and digital production via one integrated workflow.

Additionally, the system can integrate not just with Revoria presses, but any connected digital press using a Fiery DFE, enabling users to manage digital presses from multiple suppliers from one system. The system gives visibility of the print job status, the print job queue, media information, ink levels and more.

John Davies, workflow product group manager, Fujifilm Europe, said: “XMF PressReady is a brand new print workflow system, carefully designed to maximise the operational efficiency of the new range of digital POD devices available from Fujifilm.

“Building on the success of Fujifilm’s commercial XMF Workflow system, XMF PressReady is a dedicated digital print workflow system designed to manage production from job intake to final printed product.”

Now commercially available in the UK, the Revoria Press PC1120 is a 2,400x2,400dpi single-pass toner-based device that can print in up to six colours – CMYK plus a choice of clear, gold, silver, white and pink – with the option for undercoat and top coat. It also includes AI and automation technology and has extensive inline finishing options.

Print speed is 120ppm for A4, and 60ppm for A3. The long sheet option is 330x1,200mm.
