Woodford kit goes up for auction

Woodford Litho’s equipment will be sold off by Sanderson Weatherall, via an online auction and private treaty sale.

The Essex web offset printer was placed into a managed administration process by chairman Simon Fox in July.

Equipment being sold by private treaty includes the firm’s KBA Compacta 618 48pp web press, and Kolbus KM411 perfect binding line.

The online auction went live yesterday (14 September) and runs until 23 September.

It also includes the firm’s two 16pp Baker Perkins G14 webs, Muller Martini stitching lines, Sitma polybagging kit and a wide range of ancillary items as well as office equipment and cars.

There are almost 800 lots in total.

Fox said: “I’m very hopeful that the sale will go well, to maximise the return for creditors.”

Sanderson Weatherall partner Roy Tubman said there had already been significant interest in the equipment from potential buyers in Europe and beyond.
