Wide-format and promotional print specialist UK Printing Company (UKPC) has undergone a pre-pack sale to S43 Trading Limited, a new company set up by UKPC director Adam Robinson.

Administrators Mark Hodgett and David Willis, both partners at FRP Advisory’s Leeds branch, were appointed on 27 March at UKPC, with the sale to S43 Trading effected the same day.

S43 Trading was incorporated as a vehicle for the transaction on 9 March.

The sale has preserved 26 jobs at UKPC’s site in Clowne, near Chesterfield, with S43 Trading taking on both the business and assets of UKPC.

Printweek understands that Hodgett and Willis filed UKPC’s administrators' report with Companies House on 3 March, where it will be publicly available in the coming days with further details.

In UKPC’s last publicly listed accounts, filed for 2022, the firm had positive net assets of £363,000, steady on from 2021’s £364,000, and had seen an increase in tangible assets, money owed by debtors, and stocks held, though had seen its debts due within a year increase from £404,000 to £672,000.

It employed 37 in 2022, up from 30 in 2021.

UKPC and Adam Robinson had not commented at the time of writing.
