Quickcut is in the process of negotiating with BT Ignite to take over the leased lines of Vio users who also use Quickcut.
The firms have a verbal agreement and were at the stage of contract negotiations as PrintWeek went to press to allow Quickcut to take over some of Vios 2Mb leased lines used for the DGN service.
If successful, customers will switch to a contract with Quickcut after 30 June when the Vio service is scheduled to close.
Quickcut is planning to expand its services to become an ISP and offer connection to other advertising transmission providers.
BT Ignite is also in discussion with a number of parties that wish to buy elements of Vios assets, but it is not talking to anyone about buying the firm outright.
