Mike Brothers will play a central role in the firm's plan to expand services into general print applications, such as brochures, direct marketing, signage and packaging.
A veteran newspaper ad delivery specialist, Quickcut merged with broadcast advertising delivery firm Adstream in 2004.
Since then the company has been focused on the development of a one-stop-shop for managing advertising across all forms of media. As part of this strategy in January Quickcut announced its intention to develop the Global Media Exchange range of services.
In reaction to the considerable implementation of its software by corporate marketing departments and print-buying firms, Quickcut Adstream now intends to advance its online print procurement software.
Brothers has held several senior sales and marketing roles within the print industry and Quickcut general manager Mark Parmenter said he had the right experience to be a "key element in our future development".
Brothers said: "Companies are quickly waking up to the considerable benefits of using online print procurement, management, validation and distribution and production systems."
