Both companies are veterans of digital advertising delivery Quickcut in print and Adstream in broadcast and GME software aims to streamline the publishing supply chain across all forms of media.
Quickcut operations director Mike Parmenter said: "We're bringing all technologies together to be able to operate or supply GME solutions for the whole media gamut. It encompasses the entire media portfolio and is able to influence positively the production, distribution and supply chain process involved in [advertising]."
Parmenter said both companies have "intricate knowledge" within their sectors.
"[GME] will help those companies wanting to move forward those that are not sure how to go about it. We'll be able to work solutions around the clients' needs and customise, because everyone is intricately different," Parmenter said.
The latest version of Quickcut's print advertising production software was revealed last week, and includes real-time job tracking and remote proofing.
Publishing solutions firm Alpine Interactive said it had seen an increase in customers since using Quickcut to supply all its newspaper and half its magazine advertisements.
"What I like about Quickcut is the reliability each advert is flight-checked against each publication's exact specifications, so you know it will be accepted once it reaches the publisher," said Alpine Interactive director Steve Collins.
