The firm is to invest around 100m (CA$220m) in two newspaper plants in Islington, Ontario and St Javier de Mirabel, Quebec.
MAN Roland is to provide full-colour presses for both plants, which will produce newspapers and commercial work.
Three plants will close to make way for the Ontario site, which will print the Toronto Sun as well as directories for Quebecor's 420m contract to print the US Yellow Pages. In Montreal, the three-press plant will print Le Journal de Montral among others.
On the editorial side, Quebecor Media will merge its Toronto online, TV and print newsrooms under the plans.
