The sites, which specialise in commercial and digital printing, were bought by Graficom, an acquisition vehicle headed by former president of Quebecor World Speciality Group, Aivars Beikmanis.
"This acquisition represents an exciting opportunity to continue offering responsive and innovative print management," said Beikmanis.
With sales of 49m, the new firm, which includes the MIL, Graphica, Printpak, Calgary, Jasper and Carlsblad operations and a site in Mexico, will employ 600 staff and be one of the largest commercial printers in Canada.
Quebecor World and Graficom will continue a two-way outsourcing arrangement for their clients.
