Prestige Print installs Horizon bookletmaker

Commercial printer Prestige Print has celebrated its 25th year by installing its second Horizon SPF/FC-200A booklet making line from IFS.

The Telford-based company installed its first line three years ago, but according to commercial operations manager Hitesh Dhulashia the business has grown and the need for a second line has become critical.

He said: "We do a lot of form work and it easily collates NCR sets. It is very practical as we can produce books on the front end while collating sets on the reverse. It is a multifunctional machine.

"We are now much more productive and we can confidently take on more work which puts us in a very strong market position."

The 4,500bph machine features a 200-programme job memory storage for instant recall and icon-based touchscreen for job set-up.

It is equipped with a 10-station VAC-Turbo 1000 PowerCollator, which features a colour intelligent touchscreen interface.

The patented Horizon advanced suction rotor drum feeding system operates effectively on a wide variety of paper stocks at high speeds.

Prestige Print has a £2m turnover and employs 20 staff.
