PCS View, Voice and Assessment are published by Redactive, formerly Centurion Publishing Group, on behalf of the Public Communications Services union. The titles were previously placed with Southernprint via Communisis.
The largest of the three titles is the monthly 32pp 320,000-run magazine PCS View. Both Voice and Assessment are 16pp supplements with a combined quarterly print-run length of more than 150,000.
Nottingham-based Chromoworks was awarded the deal on the back of its ability to print and stitch inline on its 32pp MAN Roland Lithoman III short-grain press.
"We were down to two very similar quotes when choosing our supplier," said Redactive production manager Gary Smith. "But the efficiencies of the short-grain press secured the deal for Polestar."
Polestar Colchester, which prints the 75,000-run title Avanti for Redactive, has also been awarded a contract to produce the 93,000-run quarterly title Union of Construction, Allied Trades and Technicians (UCATT).
