Pitney Bowes secures public sector contract

Mailing kit supplier Pitney Bowes has won a contract to provide hybrid mail services to Buying Solutions, the procurement organisation for the UK's public services.

Part of the Efficiency and Reform Group within the Cabinet Office, Buying Solutions’ primary role is to achieve value for money for public bodies.

The Hybrid mail approach means that Pitney Bowes will take on the production of office mail, which would usually be carried out from the desktop, moving it to a centralised production point.

Ian Davidson, president of Pitney Bowes Europe, said: "The public sector is under immense pressure to do more for less. Hybrid mail is an interesting proposition for organisations of every size, many of whom find it hard to stay on top of print and mail related expenditure.

"Our solution provides users with a robust and secure software front-end and ensures documents are professionally produced."
