Pitney Bowes appoints GMS president

Mailing equipment manufacturer Pitney Bowes has appointed Ian Davidson as president of global mailing solutions (GMS).

In his role, Davidson will be tasked with growing the division, which helps customers to create, prepare and distribute mail, throughout Europe.

Davidson has been with Pitney Bowes since 1988, after four years as a professional cricketer with Lancashire County Cricket Club.

He has held a number of roles in the company, joining GMS from document messaging technologies international where he was vice president.

Davidson said: "This is a particularly exciting time as Pitney Bowes realigns its business to provide customers with greater flexibility and efficiency."
