The event is accessible to 120,000 young people and PETF hopes to attract 3,500 to its stand. Visitors will be able to learn about the industry via the Polestar Print Dynamics CD-ROM, see a Canon digital proofer in action and experience running a newspaper plant in a computer game.
The stand will also host a PrintIT! schools competition, hand out goodie bags supplied by Canon and run an iPod prize draw.
"Printworks is a great example of the industry working together... attracting young people to consider a career in printing as their first choice, not a second-class alternative," said PETF interim chief executive Richard Bloxam.
The stand was sponsored by Canon, PrintIT!, UK Skills and London City Fringe.
