School children, students and teachers visited the PrintWorks stand, which was manned by represen-tatives from Polestar, PrintIT!, BPIF and Canon, and collected Canon goodie bags, with 1,250 entering its iPod mini draw.
Even though attendance at the three-day event was affected by the London bombings on its second day, the visitor numbers to the PrintWorks stand more than met PETF expectations.
"There are 3,500 more young people out there who know at least something about the printing industry, which they didn't last Tuesday," said PETF interim chief executive Richard Bloxam.
The PETF operation will become part of ProSkills from 1 August, after it was granted a Sector Skills Council licence last week.
