Foxprint Services has cooled it base in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, with a Breezair evaporative air-conditioning system from Seeley International (Europe). The firm used Aircon Services to survey its 400sqm press hall, which reached 260C in winter. Foxprint production director Simon Jupp said the kit cooled temperatures and helped keep paper and ink stable.

PerfectProof, the digital proofing software company, has won certification from Fogra, the Graphic Technology Research Association. Its ProofMaster tool was the first product to win nine certifications across the four main printing standards, offset, newsprint, gravure and raster proofing, said the firm.

Pottsprinters is rolling out a World Cup promotion by sending more than 3,000 wall charts and stickers to existing and potential customers. The printer, which is based in North Shields, near Newcastle, will donate 5 to a nominated charity for every order made during the tournament, from 9 June to 9 July. International Greetings has bought the publisher of Noddy and Postman Pat. The south Wales-based wrapping paper and stationery firm is paying 2.5m for Alligator Books. The publisher's management team will not change. Alligator recently bought Chrysalis' children's book division and made 440,000 pre-tax profit on last year's 5.5m turnover.

Canon UK has followed its Ipex unveiling of 20 new products by joining Picon. Canon UK managing director Andy Vickers, Picon chief executive John Brazier said the membership proved Canon's commitment to the market.
