Overmatter: the running men

From tragedy, comes positivity. A team of four from Plastic Card Services are currently in training for the Wilmslow Half Marathon, running in aid of the Matthew Nicholls Trust.

Matt Nicholls was the son of former PCS managing director Rob Nicholls and his wife Rachel. The talented musician unexpectedly took his own life in the summer of last year, aged just 24. He was a familiar face to many at PCS’ Macclesfield factory, having worked in production at the business during the school holidays.

The Matthew Nicholls Trust has been set up to provide opportunities and financial support for young people to develop their musical skills, keeping Matt’s name alive by helping others. “We will be working in collaboration with local services to ensure that young people with life challenges and musical potential benefit from the money raised,” said Rachel and Rob.

PCS managing director Adam Unsworth, production operative Jayce Mcevoy, production manager Shaun Hinchy, and production supervisor Tony Pratt (pictured above, left to right) will be taking part in the race on 18 March. To donate, visit www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/pcsrun.
