Overmatter: runners & riders

A seasonal shout-out to some of the charitable acts being undertaken by industry folk this summer.

Fujifilm product manager Mark Stephenson will (together with son Joel) be part of the ‘Chase the Sun’ relay running from Bridlington to Morecambe between sunrise and sunset on the same day. Phew! He’s raising funds for Restore, a charity that provides homes for people who would otherwise be homeless. Visit: bit.ly/MS_CTS to donate.

Direct Press Marketing sales director Dean Beckett is planning to cycle the 460 miles from Edinburgh to Walton-on-Thames in 48 hours on 21 July, raising money for The Royal Marsden, in Dean’s latest Ronnie Remembrance Ride charity endeavour in memory of his late father Ronnie. See: bit.ly/DBRRR17.

And a hat-tip must go to Duplo UK managing director Peter Jolly who ran at least 172.2km, the distance between the DuploFest in Addlestone and its alter ego Glastonbury, in aid of children’s hospice Shooting Star Chase: http://bit.ly/PJDFest.

Well done to all.
