The twin-speed 490, which can be fitted with two to six heads, can handle a 60mm pile height, maximum paper width of 460mm and a throat depth of 270mm.

The unit offers quick drill bit replacement and the ability to the lock the drill heads, which can cope with bits 2-35mm in diameter, with a  single screw. Backstop set-up, and table lift are controlled via hand-wheels.

The 490 comes with a raft of options, including: a sliding rather than fixed table; air-cooled drill bits; and variable stroke and drilling speeds. Additional heads can also be retrofitted, up to the maximum of six.

The range comes with the option of multi-spindle heads for applications where the distance between the drill centres are too close for the standard heads, such as personal organisers.
