"The addition of new presses throughout the country over the coming 12 months meant that we had to take a close look at our support structure," said managing director Malcolm Pendlebury.
As part of the expansion programme the firm will recruit 16 engineers in the coming months.
"They will be added at geographical locations throughout the country... for both sheetfed and web service operations," added Pendlebury.
The firm's ProServ currently offers breakdown cover Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm, with a 24 hour weekday option. The new package will run from 7pm Friday to 7am Monday.
