Lick Group staff reportedly sent home as Kitson drops directorship

The future of Lick Group is uncertain after staff were reportedly sent home yesterday (20 June), while former managing director Linden Kitson appears to have left the company.

It is understood director Ian Rourke told employees they would recieve a call regarding a return to work. However, he told PrintWeek he did not wish to comment on the company’s status.

PrintWeek has received a number of calls and emails regarding the announcement, which is understood to have taken place yesterday morning (20 June).

Meanwhile, Kitson, who was managing director of Lick Group, as well as former businesses Lick Digital, Top Copy and Lick UK, resigned as a director of the company yesterday (20 June), according to Companies House.

Lick Digital and Top Copy went into liquidation on 29 March; at the time the company claimed that it was "business as usual" for Lick Group.

Lick Group was formed by Kitson to buy the assets of Lick UK, which went into administration in April 2010
