London and Manchester-based Leaflet Drop Marketing (LDM) has appointed Terry Boland as its first sales director.

Boland, who has worked in door-drop marketing since 1999, has come to LDM from Whistl, where most recently he spent three and a half years as business development manager for the postal delivery company.

Rob Henry, LDM’s managing director, told Printweek: “I am thrilled that Terry is now part of the team to help elevate us to the next level. Working within the door drop industry for over 20 years, Terry brings a whole other level of experience and expertise to LDM.

“When LDM first started, we were predominantly working within the SME market, but with a number of recent wins under our belts we’ve now stepped into the corporate market, which Terry will lead on using his wealth of knowledge in this media channel. I’m excited to see what the future holds."

LDM now employs 23 people across its London office and Manchester print site, and aims to turn over £5m next year.

Boland said he was excited to start the new role this month.

“The ambition and drive that Rob and his team possess is infectious, and combined with the strong brand and product offering, this was very much an environment that I wanted to be part of.

“I feel my knowledge, understanding and respect for this fine media channel we call door drops can only enhance LDM and their offering further. I’m proud and very excited to see where this journey will take us.”
