Latest Polar installed in Cochin and Coimbatore

The recently introduced Polar 66 X has been installed in two digital printing houses in South India: Photonics Digital, Cochin and Nila Xerox in Coimbatore.

The cutting equipments are performing well and the customers are happy with our solutions," says Ganesh Kumar, product manager, post-press, Heidelberg India.

Polar Mohr recently introduced the new Polar 66 X high-speed cutter, which now comes with a bar-code scanner, and the machine was exhibited recently at Digi:media 2011 and the Fespa digital fair in Germany.

The Polar 66 X is a hydraulic equipment mainly used for simple cutting jobs and handles the 35x50 offset class. The P-Net networking concept allows integration of the cutter into the digital workflow, which also ensures a perfect connection to digital printing.

The optional integrated barcode scanner feature allows specific job data to be read, and can automatically engage the appropriate cutting program. This not only saves time that would have been spent searching for the program, but also helps to eliminate errors.

Also, the Polar 66 X can store recurrent cutting sequences and repeat them automatically. Stored data can be corrected and added anytime.

Plus, the equipment can be integrated into a digital workflow via P-Net (optional) and connected to P-Net Services.
