Kopyrite takes delivery of MB folder-scorer

Quickprinter Kopyrite has installed an MB CAS 38 computerised folder to bring its folding and scoring back in-house following its move into four-colour litho last year.

"We were using a small folder and hand scorer but we outgrew them," said owner Tim Birks. "Consequently we were putting out all the scoring and 60% of the folding."

The Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire based firm specified its buckle machine, which also scores, with four plates. "It gives us the option to re-route the sheets in a different direction if we have a job with a lot of solids where there is a danger of cracking," explained Birks.

"The MB is just so easy to use. The touchscreen tells us exactly what we have to do and all the plates move automatically," he added.
