Goss has appointed Ian McLeod as UK general sales manager following John Chambers' move to Heidelberg last month (PrintWeek, 6 October).
McLeod spent four years at Komori as regional sales manager and six years at Heidelberg, where he was divisional manager for the north of England.
His experience is primarily in sheetfed rather
than web press sales. "I left Komori in a good position, and am pleased to be working for Goss, and looking forward to the challenge," said McLeod.
There is intense speculation as to who will replace McLeod at Komori, with an announcement expected soon.
McLeod will have overall responsibility for the UK market sales team and its customers, with a profile to extend the sales work already carried out by Goss in the UK and Irish markets.
"The UK and Irish markets for newspaper and semi-commercial presses are very active at the moment," said vice president of sales for Europe, Keith Malcolm.
