Stewart Daniels heads up the firm. A qualified printer, Daniels has some 23 years' industry experience and will act as the agent for Komori's sheetfed division in the region.
He said the position presented an opportunity to boost both Komori and I.E.S.'s presence in Scotland.
He replaces Bob Kyle, who previously held the position, prior to his retirement in May.
Daniels will report to northern sales manager Steve Turner.
Turner said it was important that Komori was able to appoint an agent who was capable of representing its extensive range of presses.
"This appointment will continue our policy of local representation, and will be beneficial to our existing and future customers in Scotland," he said.
I.E.S. currently supplies both consumables and finishing equipment to printers within the Scottish market.
