KnowledgePoint looks ahead with ISO14001 award

Digital printer KnowledgePoint has become ISO14001 accredited for the printing of course and training materials.

The company said benefits of the standard include the procedure to control and maintain environmental hazards throughout the printing process.

Director and co-owner Andre Philpot said: "We’ve always tried to be careful with waste and as digital printing encourages a clean environment, we decided to adopt a strong environmental stance and boost our environmental credentials by going for the certification."

The 60-staff company has a turnover of £3m and it is also looking at becoming FSC and PEFC accredited.

Reading-based KnowledgePoint specialises in the development, design, production, printing, packaging and distribution of training and reference work.
