KnowledgePoint invests in Documaster to launch new service

Training manual printer KnowledgePoint has said that it will soon be launching a brand new service, following a 120,000 investment.

As part of a major contract win, the Reading-based company has invested in a new Morgana Documaster and software.

The company is currently keeping details of the contract under wraps, although joint managing director Paul Gibbons told PrintWeek that it involved a new service.

KnowledgePoint will be making it available to its wider customer base in the near future.

He said: "We expect the new business that we won to be on-board in the next two months. This will be a new service that we will be selling in the future.

"We hope to resell it to as many companies as possible and it will really open doors for us. Some people are dabbling in it at the moment, but we have not anyone pushing it hard."

Gibbons also said that the company would be bringing in a "major global customer" in the near future, with further equipment being developed on the back of that.

There is likely to be much more news coming from the £7m-turnover company in the near future, with an investment in continuous feed equipment imminent.

Gibbons said: "Myself and fellow director Andre Philpot have been in digital for 23 and 25 years and we have always used cut-sheet technology so it will be an interesting change."
