The HP-sponsored front covers of 100 copies of the supplement have been personalised with the name, company and photo of the influential candidate.
How was the job produced? Printing was carried out on FE Burman’s HP Indigo 7000 digital press with Lumisilk 170gsm for the cover and 115gsm for the text pages. Managing director Michael Burman said the 32pp job took 10 days from initial conversations with Haymarket. Using HP Designer software, the team at FE Burman treated the project as a variable data job utilising the base files supplied to fill in the identified fields for personalisation.
What challenges were overcome? Thankfully for PrintWeek and visitors to Wednesday’s (27 July) Power 100 event, production ran smoothly. "There were no special issues; just the normal communications required to prepare files and data, testing to ensure style, especially for variable line lengths, says Burman.
What was the feedback? The feedback from the publisher has been positive. Anthony Davis, deputy production manager at Haymarket Publishing, says FE Burman catered for every demand. "I think that they appreciate the methodical approach we have taken to ensure that the job will run as smoothly as possible. They have done a fantastic job," he adds.
