He takes over the vacant board position left by Chris Pavlosky, who left Polestar at the beginning of this year. (PrintWeek 21 January).
The role of BPIF vice president, which Pavlosky occupied, will remain unfilled however, and will be discussed at the BPIFs National Council later this year.
Hibbert said: In the past three years the BPIF has taken tremendous strides in terms of the real value for money of its membership services and the strategic role that it is playing within the industry.
It is also my personal objective to convince other large companies currently outside of membership, of the undoubted benefits that BPIF membership can bring, not just to their own companies but also the future of the industry.
BPIF president Ken Iddon said: As a representative of the BPIFs largest member, Barry will not only ensure that the BPIF continues to deliver a high level of service to all its members, but will assist the BPIF to maintain its leading strategic position within the sector.
