Harvesting wind for platemaking

Fujifilm has teamed up with sustainable energy project development company Evelop to develop a wind farm at its European plate manufacturing site in the Netherlands.

Once complete, the wind farm is expected to provide up to 20% of the energy needed to power the production plant in Tilburg. The first wind turbines are expected to be in operation by 2011. Evelop is part of sustainable energy solutions company Econcern.
