Gardiner Graphics Group has set up a new European sales team to support the roll-out of its Touchshield anti-microbial substrate and the takeover of Roland DG’s branded media business.

The group has appointed Daniel Coelho as sales manager for EMEA.

Coelho has a decade of wide-format experience, having previously held strategic product sales positions within Roland DG.

“I am very happy to join this fantastic team, Gardiner Graphics has been consolidating its position in the English market in recent years and is now looking to expand its presence in the EMEA market and it is precisely this effort that I join to achieve the success, he said.

The group has also appointed Zbigniew Adamski as sales manager for Eastern European territories. Another wide-format veteran, for the past 14 years he was sales director for Visual Communications at Antalis Poland.

Gardiners has also bolstered its UK sales operation by recruiting Laura Ashton-Smith to its sales development team.

Earlier this year, the group introduced Touchshield, a range of clear, water-marked anti-microbial self-adhesive protective films designed to slow the spread of bacteria and viruses.

Manufactured by its G-Tec Paper & Film subsidiary in Oxfordshire, it recently attained 93.41% effectiveness rating against an enveloped viral strain similar to Covid-19.

In June, the business also secured the contract to take over Roland DG’s branded media business across EMEA.

“The last 8 months for our company has been one unbelievable ride. It has been incredibly humbling to see the efforts of the entire team pushing forward, reinventing, diversifying,” said CEO Tom Powell.

“We truly believe that our new developments can support all businesses in all sectors. I am delighted to have our new team aboard and look forward to seeing them fly the flag for our products.”
